DeBragga & Spitler

Eater.com has interviewed meat purveyors Marc Sarrazin and George Faison for Eater's 2011 Burger Week. Marc and George are both co-owners of Debragga & Spitler, an artisanal butcher and meat purveyor in the Meatpacking District. As one of the few meatpacking companies left in the MPD, Debragga provides meat to many of NYC's well known restaurants, including nearby Colicchio & Son's. Debragga sells meat wholesale to restaurants and operates a website for individuals to purchase great cuts of meat as well. Check out the interview here, and Debragga's website here.

Human Rights Campaign in Gansevoort Plaza

The Human Rights Campaign, who is behind New York States Marriage Equality campaign will be setting up a photo booth this Sunday, May 17th in Gansevoort Plaza in the Meatpacking District from 11am to 4pm. The NY Marriage Equality campaign has gotten numerous celebrities and politicians to advocate for marriage equality as can be seen on their website here and Taxi TV, and now New Yorker's are invited voice their views to help get the NY Marriage Equality bill passed. Earnest Sewn Sample Sale

Earnest Sewn will be holding a huge sample sale from April 16-24th featuring discounted items starting at $15.

Bagatelle's Move

After an ownership split and Bagatelle's name being removed from its previous 13th street space (now Brasserie Beaumarchais), it has been announced that Bagatelle will be moving into the space that currently houses The Collective. The Collective is located at 1 Little West 12th Street in front of Gansevoort Plaza, and will re-open as Bagatelle later this fall. More info from Eater here.

AIA Awards

Congratulations to The Standard New York and Ennead Architects (formerly known as Polshek) for winning an Architecture Merit Award from the NY chapter of the American Institute of Architects this month.
