NY Times on the downtown whitney's progress

The NY Times has been given a thorough update on the design of the new Whitney Museum, to be built on Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District. In hard times for fundraising, the Whitney currently has an advantage with low building costs, and is rushing forward in their process to build the new museum. Renzo Piano, the architect of the new museum is altering the design of the building to cut costs, while trying to meet immense expectations left from the Whitney's original Madison Avenue building's design.

Anders Larson-Toich Foundation Fundraiser

Thursday, June 10th is the second annual benefit fundraiser to help aid young cancer patients enjoy their lives and future's.
Enjoy art by 35+ artists, free beverages, live music, and a raffle to help benefit a worthwhile cause. Located at 169 10th Avenue and 20th Street, right up 10th Avenue from the Meatpacking District.

Anthropologie in Chelsea Market is now open

The Anthropologie store in Chelsea Market is now open. We stopped by the opening party last week, and the store looks great. There's 2 floors of clothes and home-good, and you can enter the store from inside Chelsea Market or the corner of 15th St. and 9th Ave.
