MPIA Welcomes Bakehouse

The MPIA welcomes Bakehouse to its membership and the Meatpacking District! The recently opened Bakehouse is a French bistro and bar located on Horatio Street, just west of Washington Street. Also featuring a wholesale artisanal bakery, Bakehouse is the perfect neighborhood one stop shop! Bakehouse is brought to the neighborhood from the chef and creators of Bonsignour and 11th Street Cafe.

5 Ninth - Cafe Menu

5 Ninth is kicking off the New Year by offering a Cafe Menu and Stumptown Coffee.
Beginning next week, January 16th, 5 Ninth will be opening at 8:00am from Monday - Friday, to serve their new Cafe Menu; featuring breakfast snacks, teas, Stumptown Coffee and more! 5 Ninth will also be featuring free WiFi all day for those ordering on the cafe menu.

Good Food Festival - October 9th

The Good Food Festival, presented by Basis Foods in association with the MPIA, returns for its second year this weekend! This annual event showcases good food that is traditional, locally-sourced and 100% traceable from over 50 of New York's finest chefs, restaurants, artisans and farms.
Good Food Festival features restaurant and chef tastings from over 20 of New York's brightest chefs and restaurants including Gramercy Tavern, Perry St, Pastis, Marc Forgione, Dell'anima, BLT Bar & Grill and Van Leeuwen. New this year, will be the Good Food for Kids family programming, including butter and pickle making, summer roll lessons, and more.
The event is free to attend. Tickets are required to sample tastings from participating chefs and restaurants, and are now available for purchase online at goodfoodfest.com.
Also, purchase tickets to the post-festival private reception to mingle with the chefs and farmers from the Good Food Festival, at The Standard, New York's Garden Rooms. All proceeds benefit The FEED Foundation and God's Love We Deliver.

Meatpacking District Farmers Market

On Sunday, August 14th, local Meatpacking business Basis Foods, a distributor of local produce and artisanal goods to businesses and individuals, in partnership with the MPIA will be bringing local food partners to the Meatpacking District in the pedestrian plazas at 14th Street and 9th Avenue.
Each Sunday through September 4th, John Glebocki farm will arrive with a full farmers market with the bounty of the season. Along with the farm, Blue Marble Ice Cream will be serving its locally sourced and made ice cream to help with the August heat! And best of all, the proceeds from the ice cream will go to our non-profit partners, the FEED Foundation and Gods Love We Deliver. Come out to enjoy the market and support these great causes at the same time!
