MPDI hosted a MEET FASHION: A CELEBRATION OF STYLE, an event featuring more than 40 area clothing designers and showrooms in the district. Drawing more than 250 buyers from Coterie to the Meatpacking District, the event was truly a community effort. Diane Von Furstenberg opened her studio space, Theory provided the shuttle buses, Fig and Olive and The Lobster Place provided the food, Moet White Star brought the Champagne and Bumble and bumble donated gift bags. Buyers, designers and line reps had an unprecedented opportunity to socialize and network with one another. Many of them topped their evenings off at restaurants in the district.
