NYC Lab School is also known as “The New York City Lab School for Collaborative Education.” This is a public middle school and high school with high standards for academic rigor, diversity, and collaboration. The Lab School hosts an annual Taste of the Meatpacking District though Chelsea and would like the participation of area restaurants. In 2010, this event is scheduled for June.

The Center is the second largest LGBT community center in the world, established in 1983. It is used as a meeting place for the LGBT community, as well as a center for educational programs and social services.
The Fulton Projects

Community Activist Miguel Acevedo works with the Fulton Youth of the Future Project to run a green market every Saturday during the summer. More than 3,000 people live in the Fulton houses, including 1,000 youths.
