Trina Turk

Trina Turk made a colorful splash in New York in December 2006, with her third signature boutique and first East Coast location. MR Architecture & Décor renovated the 1880’s landmark in lower Manhattan allowing Trina to showcase her coveted California flair in the historic, cobblestoned Meatpacking District. A fan of designer Jonathan Adler’s work at the Parker Palm Springs hotel, Trina felt his uninhibited style was a perfect match for her 1970s California vision for the urban East Coast. Fusing vintage and modern sensibilities into their creations, both share a love of vibrant palettes. Their collaborative efforts have resulted in white textures layered with splashes of teal, lichen green, mustard, coral and brown. Chic yet organic and natural motifs include macramé, sunburst carved doors salvaged from the Alan Ladd building in Palm Springs and a unique scrap lumber tree sculpture by Malcolm Hill in the rear alcove.
