Are you ready for a thrilling day filled with treats, fun, and a dash of spooky charm? Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 22, from 11 am to 5 pm, as the Meatpacking District transforms into a fall wonderland with Treats in the Streets 2023. This family-friendly event promises a day of trick-or-treating for adults and children alike, featuring a wide array of delightful activities, live music, and our 5th Annual Doggie Costume Contest!. Join us as we explore the highlights of this NYC fall tradition throughout the Meatpacking District.

Besides indulging in scrumptious treats, there's an abundance of activities to keep you entertained throughout the day. Enjoy classic games like pumpkin ring toss, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, and corn hole at various locations in the neighborhood. Additionally, here's a schedule of exciting events:

11 am – 5 pm: Meatpacking Makers on West 13th Street. Get creative with pumpkin painting and crafts for kids.

11 am – 5 pm: Live music on Gansevoort Plaza and West 13th St.

11 am – 5 pm: Marvel at Theresa Rivera's designed scarecrows in the planters along Ninth Avenue.

11 am – 2 pm: Pet Portraits by Laura Baran on Little West 12th St. (limited quantity)

2 pm: Don't miss the Meatpacking District’s 5th Annual Doggie Costume Contest on Little W 12th St.

2 – 5 pm: Explore the world of tarot card readings at Chelsea Market on West 15th St.

3 – 5 pm: More chances for Pet Portraits by Laura Baran on Little West 12th St. (limited quantity)

The highlight of Treats in the Streets is undoubtedly the 5th Annual Doggie Costume Contest. This beloved tradition returns with a bang! A dedicated runway on Little West 12th St. awaits adorable pups and their owners to flaunt their costumes. A panel of esteemed judges, including the fabulous Harmonica Sunbeam from Drag Queen Story Hour, will provide feedback and select the top three favorites.

Contest Timing: The costume contest will take place from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm on Little West 12th St.

Event MC: Leading the proceedings will be Jeffrey LeFrancois, the Executive Director of The Meatpacking District BID.

Prizes: The grand prize is an overnight stay at the dog-friendly Gansevoort Hotel, while second and third place winners will receive gift cards to Beasty Feast.

Treats promises a day of Halloween-inspired revelry for all ages. So, put on your best costume, grab your treat bag, and join us in the Meatpacking District on October 22 for a spooktacular celebration you won't want to miss!
