Amy Miller’s new work, a collaboration with percussionists Stahv Danker and Andreas Brade, explores the extremes of scale present in performances in public spaces. Miller is creating a high-energy, kaleidoscopic ensemble piece supported by driving rhythms and complemented by the intimacy of subtle connections. Miller’s work shares the evening with ensembles from Cumbe: Center for African and Diaspora Dance, also showcasing dynamic group work with live musicians.
The evenings will culminate with the dancers and musicians from both groups joining forces to invite the audience onstage for jam sessions combining the styles and energies of both performances.
