All for Fall
September 23, 2019
Bring on the layering, hot beverages, and all the warm hues. Fall is officially here! Take a walk along the cobbles, see the fall foliage, try seasonal dishes, or cozy up at a wine bar, there’s plenty to do here in Meatpacking to welcome the season.
Back to Hot Coffee
Although our neighborhood may be small in size, the district is filled with world class coffee shops on almost every block. What better excuse to indulge in your favorite morning (and afternoon) beverage than on National Coffee Day on September 29. From a cortado at the top of the Whitney, to a coffee cocktail at Starbuck’s Roastery Reserve there’s lots to sip on here.
See the Leaves Change
Take a walk on the High Line late October or early November to see the leaves change to glorious autumn hues.
Act Like a Local Again
The Chelsea Local is expanding with new vendors such as Black Seed Bagels, Las Delicias Patisserie, and Pearl River Mart Foods. Good news for New Yorkers, a separate entrance will open on 15th Street so you can avoid the crowd.
Harvest Fest
Come out in your coziest sweater to Meatpacking’s Harvest Fest where more than 35+ vendors will be on the lawn showcasing unique food and crafts. Enjoy free activities, a drag queen story hour, doggie costume contest, and so much more. Join us on October 12 from 11am – 4pm by RSVP’ing here.
Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice
Whether you’re a fan of Pumpkin spice or not, there’s plenty of other fall flavors to get excited about. Doughnuttery’s Pumpkin Pie Brûlée Doughnuts are back along with their apple cider sugar doughnuts and warm apple cider. High Street on Hudson is offering pumpkin challah french toast for fall and monthly specials for their kouign amann. September’s flavor is chocolate buckwheat.
All the New
Be sure to check out all the new businesses from our neighbors. Catch Steak has recently opened on Ninth Avenue featuring a curated collection of the world’s best cuts for a more approachable steakhouse experience. Kobrick Coffee is expanding their space next door on Ninth Avenue with a separate spot for a bar.
