
Cocktail Recipes to get the weekend started

As we’re heading into the holiday weekend and because Thursday is the new Friday, here’s 5 cocktail recipes courtesy of Little West Wines and Spirits to get your weekend started off right.

Mezcal – 10 Gallon Hat
1.5 ounces El Buho Mezcal
0.75 ounce Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
1 ounce fresh Pineapple Juice
0.5 ounce fresh Lime Juice
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake. Strain into a coup glass
Vodka – Cosmonaut
2 ounces VDKA 6100
0.75 ounce fresh Lemon Juice
1 barspoon Raspberry Preserves OR 3 fresh muddled raspberries
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake. Strain into a coup glass. Garnish with a fresh raspberry.
Gin – Eastside Rickey
2 ounces Tanqueray Gin
1 ounce fresh Lime Juice
0.75 ounce Simple Syrup
Small handful of fresh Mint
3 Cucumber wheels
Muddle the mint and cucumber in a cocktail shaker. Add all liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake. Strain into a tall highball glass over ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a cucumber wheel and fresh mint crown.
Rum – Northside Special
2 ounces The Real McCoy 5 Year
1.5 ounce fresh Orange Juice
0.5 ounce fresh Lemon Juice
0.5 ounce Simple Syrup
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake. Strain into a tall highball glass over ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with an orange wedge.
Whiskey – Square Meal
2 ounces Bulleit Bourbon
0.5 ounce Simple Syrup
4 dashes Cholula Hot Sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire
3 slices of Cucumber
4 Lime Wedges
Add the lime wedges and cucumber in a cocktail shaker and muddle. Then add the rest of the ingredients with add ice, and shake. Pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with 2 cucumber slices, salt, and pepper.
