
Cocktails at home: Jockeying for couch position

Cody Goldstein from Muddling Memories is a master of cocktail concoctions. In normal circumstances he can be found crafting outrageous cocktails at Catch, creating custom drinks for Bento on Hudson, or gallivanting across the city making the coolest bars for events. While in quarantine, Cody has still been going strong elevating every day craft cocktails for all of us at home. He shared his latest creation with Meatpacking called “Jockeying for Couch Position”, aka a Blueberry Mint Julep, for you to make at your DIY bar. Just in time to sip and sit out on your porch, stoop, or fire escape in the warmer weather.
Jockeying for Couch Position
Bourbon, vanilla, and blueberries
Ingredients:
2 oz of Bourbon
.50 oz of simple syrup
.50 oz of lime
4 drops of vanilla extract
3 mint sprigs
10 Blueberries
Seltzer to fill
Directions:
Add bourbon, simple syrup, lime, mint and blueberries into the shaker and muddle. Strain into a glass and top it with ice. Add a splash of seltzer and garnish with mint and blueberries.
