Digital Art Month in Meatpacking
October 1, 2020
This month kicks off Digital Art Month in Meatpacking. In partnership with CADAF (Contemporary and Digital Art Fair), Digital Art Month is the creative celebration of digital and new media art. In the times of social distancing, this digital festival unites the creative community and invites viewers to discover, share and experience cutting edge art.
Located throughout Meatpacking’s 14th Street public plazas, the digital exhibition will feature Augmented Reality (AR) Art through social media filters and video. The AR Art will be exhibited via QR codes activated through Instagram and Snapchat. All of the QR codes for AR filters and Video Art screenings will be outside/able to be viewed from outside in public spaces so that everyone can enjoy art in the safest way possible.
Meatpacking is happy to be the home of 11 artists during the exhibition, including: 404.Zero, Ajeeb, Jeffrey Bryant, Sofia Crespo, Sian Fan, Wednesday Kim, Soliman Lopez, and Recycle Group. QR Codes will be set up through 14th Street plazas.
Grab your phone, a friend, and a mask and get ready to experience digital art like never before! And be sure to post a picture of you using the AR filters with the hashtag #DigitalArtMonth and tag us @meatpackingny.
