What do you do, and how did you get here?
What do you love about Meatpacking?
I love the ever changing landscape. It’s a very different neighborhood than it was in 2002 when we first moved here. The Highline and The Whitney are two of my favorite new additions to the neighborhood. I miss some of the original grit of the neighborhood but I certainly welcome the new!
If you had 15 minutes, how will you spend it in the neighborhood?
If you had a few hours, how would you ideally spend the day?
After my 15 minutes of quiet time (above) I would take Joe’s class at KORE and then a second cup of coffee. I would have lunch at Santina, tour the Whitney and browse the shops.
Where do you go to escape the crowds? People watch?
Where will you recommend for a great cocktail or bite?
I love Kobrik Coffee on Ninth Avenue. It has a neighborhood feel which I love and appreciate.
What’s your most memorable moment or experience in Meatpacking?
Years ago, we would watch the filming of “Sex and the City” from our office window. That show truly exemplified the vibe of the city and our neighborhood at the time.
Of all the personalities you can think of (whether you know the person or not), whom would you want to grab a drink with?
I would love to have a drink with Diane Von Furstenberg. She’s an icon in my industry and I just love her story and incredible pulse on the fashion world.
What should we know about you outside of work. Hobbies, life, that sort of thing?
Outside of work I have two young boys who keep me super busy. I recently started taking ballet classes again at the Joffrey Ballet which I’m loving. It’s a nice balance to the amazingly intense classes at KORE.
