Grab a cozy sweater, your pooch and some friends to this Saturday’s Harvest Fest! This beloved festival showcases the best of the neighborhood with food, live bluegrass music and free activities for the whole family. From VR stations, hot apple cider, gourmet doggie treats to housemade charcuterie, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a peak of what to expect:
Honor and thank your dog in a Kukar Tihar ceremony by the Rubin Museum of Art with flower garlands, vermillion paste, and tasty treats.
Fall Flavored Ice Cream
I scream, you scream, we’ll all be screaming to try Ample Hill’s ice cream. Three fall flavors will be showcased on Saturday including No Sleep Til’ Pumpkin, Chocolate Milk and Cookies and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake.
Have old jeans in your closet you’ve been meaning to get rid of? Bring them to Harvest Fest to recycle at the Madewell booth and you’ll receive a free tote and bouncebacks.
Members of Ronald K. Brown/Evidence will lead festival goers through a free class based on traditional African dance with contemporary choreography. Movement will be included from their upcoming season at The Joyce Theater. Register here.
Gunter Seeger will up the dessert ante with their ginger and chocolate Halloween cookies, miniature fall flavored cupcakes and GSNY’s take on Crack o’ Jack.
