The Force is Strong
December 13, 2017
No need to travel through hyperspace for a blast of Star Wars before the new installment, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, comes out in theaters Friday, December 15. Paying tribute to this iconic film franchise, ice cream shop, Ample Hills Creamery, and fashion brand, rag & bone have each rolled out limited-edition Star Wars themed goodies to get your sabers on.
Prepare for an attack of the cones with three special flavors: First Order, Resistance, and The Force. First Order is a salted dark chocolate ice cream with cocoa powder, bittersweet chocolate, and espresso. Resistance is a brown sugar and vanilla bean ice cream with red-velvet ooey gooey butter cake, toffee pieces, and mini marshmallows. Last but certainly not least, the Force is a sweet cream ice cream, swirled with rich chocolate fudge, and set against a galaxy of white and dark chocolate pearls.
“It’s the thrill of my adult life to be able to tell these three Star Wars stories through ice cream,” said Ample Hills CEO and co-founder Brian Smith.
The pints are available in-stores, or packaged as a collection and shipped in a specially designed box featuring original artwork designed by Ample Hills Creamery Art Director Lauren Kaelin. Plus, the box features a punch-out x-wing fighter, integrated into the packaging!
Don’t forget to dress the part. Reworking iconic Star Wars references into classic rag & bone styles, the collection plays up the light/dark sides of the Force and conflicts between the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance and the First Order and the Resistance.
“Our approach was really to re-imagine some of our favorite rag & bone pieces while taking influence from some of our most memorable moments of past and present Star Wars films,” said Rag & Bone CEO Marcus Wainwright.
