Fall Cocktails Are Getting a Little More Interesting
BY Meatpacking BIDPUBLISHED 10.18.2026
Pumpkin spice doesn’t have a monopoly on fall flavor.
Across Meatpacking, bartenders are reaching for the orchard instead. Apple and pear are leading the season, but ginger, rosemary, smoke, cinnamon and even bananas are changing what fall tastes like in a glass.
The result is a fall cocktail menu that goes well beyond the usual seasonal suspects.
At Sirrah, the Appletini starts with tart Granny Smith apple and sharpens it with ginger and spice, finished with sparkling apple cider. It’s a seasonal take that has already earned attention from Forbes.
Brass Monkey takes the orchard in two directions. The Apple Mule pairs apple brandy with ginger beer and lime, while Smokey the Pear gives pear a more savory edge with mezcal and rosemary.
Those combinations track with what’s happening on fall cocktail menus more broadly. Apple remains a seasonal staple, while pear is increasingly being used as an alternative to the expected pumpkin flavors. Herbs like rosemary and sage, warming spices and smoke are also being layered into autumn drinks to create more complex, savory profiles.
At Serafina, the seasonal shift comes in two forms. The Harvest Spritz captures the last warmth of summer with apple-infused tequila, cider, cinnamon and Prosecco, while the Caramelized Cask takes a richer approach, pairing bourbon with banana and smoky oak notes. One is made for lingering over an afternoon drink; the other feels right at home on a crisp fall evening.
And one of Meatpacking’s newest bars is taking apple in yet another direction. At Bar CC, a clarified milk punch combines apple with elderflower, honey and chamomile, pairing a familiar fall fruit with floral and botanical notes.
Taken together, the menus point to a fall drinking season that feels familiar without being predictable. Apple and pear are still doing the heavy lifting, but smoke, herbs, florals and unexpected fruit are giving the classics more range.
So yes, apple is having a very good fall. But what bartenders are doing with it is much more interesting.
