Experience the Summer of Soccer
From match-day rituals to artist-led programs, limited-time offers, and neighborhood activations, the Meatpacking District is turning the Summer of Soccer into a full neighborhood experience. Whether you’re here to shop, snack, explore, or cheer, there’s a way to play along.
Aesop Gansevoort celebrates the beautiful game with El Comienzo, a curated travel essentials kit designed for visitors arriving in the neighborhood. The $188 set includes Solais Hand Serum, Avail Facial Lotion SPF25, Geranium Body Cleanser, Immediate Facial Hydrosol, Shampoo, and Conditioner.
Opening weekend brings a full lineup to 60 Gansevoort, including Cynar Spritzes and light bites on Friday, June 12; a Summer of Soccer Sounds vinyl set with Victor Roman Studios on Saturday, June 13; and a Sunday morning pickup session with POC Fútbol Brooklyn, followed by breakfast, mimosas, and match viewing at Aesop Gansevoort. Every game day comes with a chance to win at Dickson’s. Guests who purchase an entrée, sandwich, or alcoholic beverage earn a raffle ticket for drawings during that day’s games. Winners will be selected throughout live matches, including after goals, at halftime, at the final whistle, and during other key game moments.
Prizes may include gift certificates, T-shirts, hats, jerseys, free drinks, free food, desserts, beef jerky, and more. Guests must be present at Dickson’s during the drawing to redeem their prize.
K’ab Juun presents A ‘Goal’ in Design, a Summer of Soccer exhibition celebrating the vibrant graphic work of Mario Cortés, also known as Cuemanche. The show features striking designs created for the Mexican host cities, bringing together culture, sport, and visual storytelling in a dynamic gallery experience.
Guests can also join K’ab Juun’s newsletter for a chance to participate in the K’ab Juun Quiniela, an interactive tournament-prediction experience with the chance to win an exclusive K’ab Juun piece and a signed set of Cuemanche’s graphics.
Summer Fridays at PAIGE bring an easy start to the weekend. Every Friday during store hours, guests can shop the latest arrivals, enjoy complimentary Avaline wine, and kick off the weekend in style.
A match ticket gets guests a free round of mini golf at Puttery. Come for the game-day energy, stay for a little friendly competition of your own.
Opening weekend, The Standard Biergarten becomes the ultimate match hub with Mundial Partners and Fashion Meets Football. Guests can enjoy live match screenings, curated activations, and drink specials all weekend long.
The takeover runs June 13 from 1–9 PM and June 14 from 12–6 PM, with featured matchups including Qatar vs. Switzerland, Brazil vs. Morocco, Germany vs. Curaçao, and Netherlands vs. Japan.
Vince brings style and purpose together with Style Gives Back: The Fresh Air Fund Event at Vince on Washington St. The two-day shopping event takes place Friday, July 17 through Saturday, July 18, with 10% of all sales donated to The Fresh Air Fund.
The event supports a local New York City organization dedicated to providing children with access to summer camp and outdoor enrichment opportunities.
Whitney Museum of American Art
Beginning June 16 and continuing through August 18, the Whitney Museum will be open seven days a week, giving visitors even more opportunities to experience, explore, and connect with art.
During Free Friday Nights and Free Second Sundays, visitors can drop into artmaking activities inspired by the Summer of Soccer, including an all-ages program with artist Rich Tu, designer of the official New York/New Jersey World Cup poster. Guests can also take advantage of a 20% admission discount when wearing a national team jersey or carrying home team memorabilia. Free Friday Nights and Free Second Sundays will also feature DJ sets, live music, artmaking programs, and more.
