Your Fourth Starts in Meatpacking
There are plenty of ways to celebrate the Fourth of July, but few neighborhoods do it quite like Meatpacking. Spend the day enjoying classic American comfort food, neighborhood favorites, and festive celebrations before ending the evening under the city skyline.
Start with a Little Friendly Competition
Kick off the holiday weekend with a little friendly competition at Puttery. Sign up for Puttery emails and receive a coupon for $10 Unlimited Mini Golf, available July 3 through July 5. It's the perfect excuse to squeeze in one more round before the day's celebrations begin.
Red, White & Bites
Nothing says Fourth of July quite like classic American comfort food. Grab handcrafted hot dogs and locally sourced meats at Dickson's Farmstand Meats, settle in for a hearty meal at Friedman's, or stop by Creamline for burgers, fries, and milkshakes that never go out of style.
Build the Perfect Picnic
Planning to spend part of the day along the waterfront? Pick up everything you need before heading out. Chelsea Market Baskets is stocked with picnic essentials, Saxelby Cheesemongers has artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, flowers from Damselfly, and Little West Wines has everything you need to toast the holiday.
Celebrate in Meatpacking
The festivities continue with two neighborhood celebrations.
The Standard Biergarten is teaming up with UNBRANDED for a Fourth of July celebration featuring cookout favorites, dunk tanks, tattoo stations, jello shots, and more.
Looking for a rooftop experience? Gansevoort Rooftop's Fourth of July Celebration pairs classic American bites, elevated cocktails, and live DJs with skyline views as New York celebrates the 50th annual Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks.
Dinner Reservations
Prefer to sit down before the evening festivities? Reserve a table at one of Meatpacking's most iconic institutions. Since 1868, Old Homestead Steakhouse has been part of the neighborhood's story. This Fourth of July weekend, enjoy a Porterhouse Prix Fixe for Two for $95 or take advantage of 50% off bottled wines under $100.
Before You Go
Businesses throughout the Meatpacking District will remain open all weekend. If you're planning to visit Hudson River Park earlier in the day, allow a little extra time as temporary access changes may be in place for the Sail250 procession.
